Ikebana Collective is a North American record label and art collective releasing diverse, asymmetrical sound that stretches the boundaries of bass music — dubstep, drum & bass, and trap, heavy, glitchy, and mystical by default. The most interesting work rarely comes out symmetrical: we sign and support a small roster and we'd rather leave the empty space in than fill every gap. Releases move through Discord submissions first, get shaped in collaboration with the artist, and go out under one catalog rather than a dozen sub-labels.
Heaven
The reach of a track — melody, top-line, the part that's aiming somewhere. The stem that stands tallest in the arrangement.
Humanity
The artist's voice in the middle of it — the imperfect, asymmetrical choice that makes a release sound like a person made it, not a template.
Earth
Rhythm and low end — the grounded stem the other two lean on. Nothing floats without it.
